We all do our best to keep up with reading journals, completing CME, and staying abreast of new developments in Neurology. Some areas of practice are harder to keep up with by reading the occasional journal article. EEG reading is a specific visual skill that involves visual pattern recognition and analysis of identified patterns. Many neurologists who had limited training in EEG during residency or who don't have frequent exposure to EEG reading in their daily practice may need opportunities to continue to hone their EEG reading skills. This course provides an interactive, "hands on" approach to the review of basic adult EEG: a brief review of the source of the EEG, the normal awake background, the changes with sleep, and the correct identification of artifacts.
